New World Order is a mod for the highly acclaimed geo-political simulator, Superpower 2. The mod places itself in the not too distant future where much of the world's global powers have shifted into a totalitarian state, giving the players the choice to finalize the global agenda or prevent the coming Orwellian future.

FACTIONS

Anonymous

It began as a step against the corruption of a religious ideology, but in the modern day... it has shifted to a global movement that fights for freedom, equality, and civil liberties. The Anonymous organization is bent on ending the global agenda of tyranny and verichip implantation. It is labeled as the number one terrorist organization in the world by the United Nations, and anyone suspected of directly or indirectly associating with them is considered treason.

European Union

The European Union began as a political and economic advisory council at the end of the 20th century, but now has evolved as an official sovereign entity. All former member states have recognized it as the foundation to a new supranationality, headed by the European Parliament and it's President. It's goal coincides with many of the other continental unions to establish the VeriChip as a required implant, and to pacify any citizen that may resist the establishment of the New World Order.

Federated Socialist Republic

The former Russian Federation went through a long period of political changes through the forceful nature of Vladimir Putin. In the mid 2020's, the former soviet states of Belarus, followed by the Ukraine and Kazakhstan, re-united with the Russian Federation under it's new nationality. The F.S.R. strongly opposes the UN's eugenics and VeriChip programs, and stands as one of the few powers left capable of fending off the global agenda.

Bolivarian Alliance for the Americas

After the launch of the leftist currency known as the "Sucre", the members of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Americas entered a period of substantial economic growth. As the global agenda furthered notion of uniting South America under a similar continental union structure to that of the EU, the Alliance withdrew from the Union of South American Nations and formed a tighter coalition with one another.

Middle Eastern Coalition

With the war on terror impeding nations in the Middle East, along with rising concerns of wester military intervention due to Iranian nuclear development, many of the Arabic nations held an emergency summit to discuss the concerns of western imperialism and formed a new pact between eachother to ensure that the Middle East remains under its sovereign territorial control.

North American Union

Comprising of the former United States, Mexico, and Canada, the NAU serves as the supreme power of the North American continent and is the right hand to the UN's global agenda for unification. It strongly supports many of the UN's propositions, including the eugenics programs and the VeriChip implantation. Since it's inception as a sovereign state, terrorist attacks have been at an all time high causing the government to pass controversial security measures.

Greater Asian Cooperation

The GAC is a relatively young supranationality and is still working on assimilating other asian nations into its union, but what it lacks in unification more than makes up for its economic and territorial strength. It is a few years behind many of the UN policies and has been pressured over the last few months to increase funding for new surveillance programs.

African Union

Originally, the African Union was recognized throughout the entirety of its continent, but after the Bolivarian Alliance withdrew from the Union of South American Nations, many of the northern countries, especially the Arabic nations, followed suit due to the UN's pressured policies. It aims at reuniting Africa back under its umbrella and finalizing the global agenda initiatives.

Union of South American Nations

The USAN was the third supranationality to come into fruition. It has suffered tremendous difficulty attempting to persuade the Bolivarian Alliance to return to the Union, and threat of military conflict has only made matters worse. On more controversial matters, the Central American Integration System has been weighing the options of either joining with the USAN or merging with the Bolivarian Alliance.

The CAIS has been in its stage for many years, caught between the struggle of UNAS and Bolivarian pressure. It is entirely neutral in regards to UN global policies and South American politics, but is slowly coming to a conclusion on what would be best for its citizens.

Pacific Union

Once members of the former Commonwealth of Nations, the Pacific Union was a historically accelerated form of the continental union model. It is very close with NAU and USAN policies while falling right in line to that of the UN's global agenda.

United Nations

The United Nations serve as the primary regulator over all global politics within the established continental unions of the EU, NAU, USAN, AU, and PU. Anything that the Unions do requires UN approval unless a majority vote among the unions passes against the Secretary General. The UN is pushing for controversial agendas heavily recognized by the F.S.R. and Anonymous labeled as "totalitarian" and "despotic". It supports eugenics, universal conformity, the VeriChip program, as well as the development of "Pacification Camps". It is also rumored that the powerful Bilderberg Group influences its cabinet.
